    Just curious when the forum members started their business and if it’s generally assumed it isn’t that good, as far as the time of year to start a striping business in north central united states. thanks for any and all advice.

    I started my business last year in August in the Midwest at did $7000 in striping just by driving around looking for lots. A few even turned into referrals and now I’m in the phone book and this month I will do over 7K. Just start off small something you can do in the afternoon or evenings and weekends. Good luck!

    Anytime now, is better than waiting, IMHO. You have the whole season, work it!!

    I’m in too. I started in August. I made $4000.00 that season. I stopped November 1st…or was it October?
    It was 16 years ago…or was it 17?
    Start.
